L’Italie – toute proche – est à l’honneur pour cette nouvelle édition des Nuits romantiques du Lac du Bourget. Arborant pour étendard la figure de Niccolò Paganini, la programmation fait la part belle au romantisme et à la virtuosité. Le jeune maître de l’archet Nemanja Radulovic est l’invité des concerts d’ouverture, d’abord en soliste du Premier Concerto de Paganini aux côtés de l’Orchestre symphonique national de la RAI dirigé par Andrew Davis, puis en compagnie de son ensemble Les Trilles du Diable pour un programme de Wieniawski à Tartini où la virtuosité a toute sa place. Autre jeune violoniste remarquée – notamment pour ses interprétations de Vivaldi –, Amanda Favier interprète un programme de musiques française et italienne accompagnée par Jean-François Zygel. En clôture de festival, Youri Bashmet – avec ses Solistes de Moscou – rend hommage au Paganini altiste avec le Concertino en la mineur et à l’Italie en général (œuvres de Vivaldi, Nino Rota et Souvenirs de Florence de Tchaïkovski).
