Ensevelie jusqu’au buste dans un mamelon de sable, Winnie s’abrite d’une ombrelle. Elle prie, fredonne, parle, accomplit les gestes quotidiens d’une nouvelle journée qui commence, convoque çà et là des bribes de souvenirs d’amour et d’exil… « Monter un texte de Beckett, déclare Michel Abécassis, c’est s’attaquer à un monde au-delà de toutes les conventions du théâtre, un monde irrationnel à l’image de ce monde qui nous dépasse (…), c’est célébrer le silence, le voyage immobile, les temps. » Abordant Oh les beaux jours comme « une véritable partition musicale », le metteur en scène a cherché à mener, avec ses deux interprètes, un travail au plus près du corps et de la voix. Un travail à travers lequel Stéphanie Lanier, qui partage le plateau avec Pierre Ollier, incarnera une « Winnie [qui] célèbre la vie malgré le temps qui passe ».
