Le 11 Gilgamesh Belleville / Écriture et mes Julien Rocha
« Peut-on faire du conte philosophique du XIXème siècle le miroir de notre société contemporaine ? ». À l’origine de Oliver, très librement inspiré du roman de Charles Dickens, il y a cette question de Julien Rocha, fondateur avec Cédric Veschambre de la compagnie Le Souffleur de verre. Revendiquant un « théâtre de l’anomalie », un « théâtre qui cultive l’étrangeté, convoque d’autres univers, de nouveaux projecteurs qui illuminent différemment notre réalité », l’auteur et metteur en scène transpose à notre époque l’histoire du petit orphelin. Écrite au contact d’enfants de diverses structures scolaires, sa pièce mêle théâtre et chanson pour dire la grande ville, la violence et la faim, mais aussi la révolte et la fraternité. Loin d’un Oliver Twist d’Épinal, c’est un personnage traversé par la complexité de notre temps qui nous est offert. Un héros en quête de davantage de justice et d’équité.
