Que ce soit la féline Emilie Sudre ou les aériennes Mélissa Von Vepy et Marie-Anne Michel, que ce soit en semi-nudité ou à plusieurs mètres au-dessus du sol, la prise de risque reste la même. Ces trois courtes pièces, toutes extraites de projets de plus grande ampleur, ont en commun la maîtrise du mouvement, la virtuosité d’une gestuelle chorégraphiée en l’air ou sur terre. Venue du monde du hip hop, Emilie Sudre est la première danseuse du genre à affirmer de façon frontale une sensualité débordante, voire dérangeante. Osant la quasi nudité, elle jette avec Soli II un pavé dans la mare d’une esthétique trop souvent confinée dans ses lieux communs. Croc, dansé par Melissa Von Vépy sous le regard de la chorégraphe Carlotta Ikéda, provoque, à l’aide d’un crochet de levage, l’idée de l’arrachement hors du sol plutôt que celle de l’envol. Sans oublier la Sieste Verticale de la compagnie Carpe Diem, lien entre ciel et terre.
