Théâtre de la Ville / de Anton Tchekhov / mes Eric Lacascade
Ivanov, Les Trois Sœurs, puis la Mouette et Platonov, aujourd’hui Oncle Vania : Tchekhov est un vieux compagnon de route d’Eric Lacascade, un compagnon infaillible qui sans doute ne cessera jamais de le troubler et de l’émerveiller. Tchekhov est un maître infini et si concret. Le metteur en scène mêle les textes d’Oncle Vania et de L’Homme des Bois, qui l’a inspiré et comporte en partie les mêmes personnages. Avec de fidèles comédiens, dont Alain d’Haeyer en Vania, se jouent ici les interrogations d’une vie qui bientôt s’achèvera, le « portrait d’une bourgeoisie mi-campagnarde, mi-intellectuelle en train de sombrer ». « Et cela nous bouleverse, car avant la résignation mentale ou physique ces hommes et ces femmes luttent. Au bord de l’abîme, maladroitement, dans tous les sens, pour eux et contre les autres, pour les autres et contre eux-mêmes, ils luttent. C’est cette lutte que je vais montrer » souligne Eric Lacascade. Un théâtre énergique et rugueux, d’une grande force visuelle et au plus près des mouvements… de l’âme.
