Attention événement ! Roberto Alagna, notre ténor star, est à l’affiche de l’Opéra Bastille (180 € la place en première catégorie quand même…). On est enfin soulagé de retrouver sa voix brillante sur un plateau d’opéra plutôt que dans les enregistrements « crossover » dont il s’est fait une spécialité. Pour son come-back à Bastille, Alagna a choisi de participer (aux côtés de Svetla Vassilieva, Wojtek Smilek…) à un ouvrage tombé dans l’oubli : Francesca da Rimini de Riccardo Zandonai. Les mauvaises langues diront qu’il s’agit d’un énième opéra vériste, avec son flot de mélodies sucrées. Mais pour notre part, notre vraie inquiétude concerne la mise en scène de Giancarlo del Monaco (le fils du grand ténor Mario del Monaco), dont la dernière production à l’Opéra Bastille, Andrea Chénier, cumulait laideur scénique et statisme des chanteurs. Heureusement le chef Daniel Oren, toujours très efficace, officie dans la fosse.
