Le Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse prend ses quartiers d’hiver à l’Opéra Comique. Après avoir été créée début janvier dans la ville rose, la nouvelle production des Fiançailles au couvent est donnée à la fin du mois à l’Opéra Comique. On ne peut que se réjouir de cette coproduction, tant l’opéra bouffe de Prokofiev (créé au Kirov de Saint-Pétersbourg en 1946) est aux abonnés absents des grandes scènes lyriques. Les qualités ne manquent pourtant pas : livret piquant (avec un côté anti-religieux apprécié par le pouvoir soviétique), verve rythmique, instrumentation colorée… On peut être sûr que la direction du jeune chef ossète Tugan Sokhiev, à la tête de son Orchestre du Capitole, saura lui insuffler l’énergie idoine. Sur le plateau, une équipe de chanteurs russo-britanniques (Brian Galliford, Anastasia Kalagina…) évoluera dans une mise en scène de Martin Duncan, qui a déjà signé à Cologne une version remarquée de L’Amour des trois oranges du même Prokofiev.
