Immanquablement et courageusement, l’Orchestre Colonne fait le choix d’associer dans chacun de ses programmes de saison une œuvre de notre temps (souvent des « 2ème auditions ») à des pièces du grand répertoire symphonique. C’est encore le cas aujourd’hui, pour cet avant-dernier concert de la saison dirigé par Vincent Monteil, où la Neuvième Symphonie de Beethoven sera précédée par les Paysages d’ombres, ou Pensée pour Hölderlin pour mezzo-soprano et orchestre à cordes de Christian Dachez (né en 1951). Cette œuvre très récente, chantée ici par Delphine Haidan, a été conçue sur un texte de Gérard Fournaison et créée le 19 novembre 2008 au Festival Aujourd’hui Musiques de Perpignan. Un mois plus tard, le 8 juin à la Salle Pleyel, Colonne reviendra à Beethoven avec le Concerto « L’Empereur » interprété par la grande Brigitte Engerer, accompagnée par Marco Guidarini, patron de l’Opéra de Nice, qui dirigera aussi la reprise de la pièce Le quark et le papillon de Dominique Lemaître et la Symphonie fantastique de Berlioz. Avec, le 7 mai, les voix du Chœur de l’Orchestre Colonne et des solistes Chantal Dionne, Delphine Haidan, Stanislas de Barbeyrac et Christophe Fel.
