PIANO ET ORCHESTRE / THEATRE DES CHAMPS-ELYSEES
On ne s’étonne plus depuis déjà longtemps de retrouver au pupitre des meilleurs orchestres celui que l’on a d’abord et longtemps applaudi comme l’un de nos meilleurs pianistes français, devenu en 2001 directeur musical de l’Orchestre Poitou-Charentes. Etant entendu que Jean-François Heisser se plaît souvent à faire cohabiter le chef et le pianiste, comme dans le projet en cours de son intégrale des Concertos de Beethoven dirigés du piano, ou encore lors de cette soirée avenue Montaigne à dominante américaine (Barber : Knoxville : Summer of 1915 ; Adagio pour cordes ; Copland : extraits de Old American Songs ; Appalachian Spring, suite), où il reprendra Terra Ignota, in memoriam Karlheinz Stockhausen, une partition datant de 2007 de Philippe Manoury dont il est le dédicataire, le commanditaire et le créateur. « La particularité la plus visible de cette composition réside probablement dans l’organisation des rapports entre l’instrument soliste et les groupes d’orchestre placés en face et autour de lui. En cela j’ai voulu réintroduire une coutume qui était habituelle du temps de Mozart, qui dirigeait lui-même l’orchestre de son piano. » a expliqué le compositeur français.
