ORCHESTRE SYMPHONIQUE / SALLE PLEYEL
Cette formation unique en son genre en France s’est fixée comme objectif depuis 30 ans de former de jeunes instrumentistes issus des conservatoires supérieurs pour les former au métier spécifique de l’orchestre, longtemps dévalorisé en France. Sept chefs se sont succédés à la tête de l’OFJ depuis sa fondation en 1982 (Jérôme Kaltenbach, Emmanuel Krivine, Marek Janowski, Jean-Claude Casadesus, etc) jusqu’à aujourd’hui Dennis Russell Davies, qui ont contribué à la formation de plus de 2000 musiciens. Pour ce concert de fête, le programme pousse sur le devant de la scènes quatre anciens membres de la formation – Jacques-Yves Rousseau au violon, David Delacroix à la violoncelle, Nora Cismondi au hautbois et Arthur Menrath au basson – et invite à laisser ces jeunes professionnels de l’orchestre s’exprimer dans la Symphonie concertante de Haydn, la Suite du Chevalier à la rose de Richard Strauss, La Valse de Ravel, et cerise sur le gâteau (d’anniversaire), la Symphonie n°10 de Philip Glass commandée pour la circonstance par l’OFJ au compositeur américain.
