À période de fêtes, musique festive. Pour sa dernière série de concerts avant Noël, l’Orchestre national d’Île-de-France joue Pétrouchka, dont l’action se situe… au moment de Mardi gras. Peu importe, au fond, puisque dans ce deuxième ballet de Stravinsky écrit pour Diaghilev et ses Ballets russes, l’argument s’efface derrière la vivacité des rythmes et des couleurs, avec ce piano claudiquant qui emmène l’orchestre vers des harmonies étonnantes. Auparavant, Enrique Mazzola dirige Feu d’artifice du même Stravinsky, qui porte bien son titre, et le Concerto pour violon de Tchaïkovski (avec le jeune soliste Stefan Jackiw), possible évocation romantique de l’hiver russe. En ouverture est donnée la création de Ghost of Christmas, nouvelle œuvre du compositeur en résidence Dai Fujikura. À l’image de ses aînés Toru Takemitsu (1930-1996) ou Toshio Hosokawa (né en 1955), Dai Fujikura (né en 1977) a un pied dans la tradition musicale de l’archipel et un autre en Europe, où il a étudié auprès de George Benjamin et Pierre Boulez. Sa musique, puissamment dramatique et finement ciselée, est de celles qui rendent accessibles les ressources du langage contemporain.
