Si la scène française regorge de spécialistes de l’instrument de tout premier plan – on pense par exemple à Pascal Contet, Richard Galliano ou Vincent Peirani, pour leurs capacités à se consacrer autant à l’improvisation qu’à la musique classique ou contemporaine –, de magnifiques talents de l’accordéon s’expriment aussi évidemment au-delà de nos frontières. C’est le cas de la jeune artiste lettone Ksenija Sidorova, dont le premier album paru en 2016 sur le label Deutsche Grammophon, « Carmen », lui a très vite valu une renommée mondiale. Formée à la Royal Academy of Music de Londres, Ksenija Sidorova a aussi été influencée par les musiques folkloriques de son pays. C’est d’une certaine manière à ce point de jonction que se situe le concerto qu’elle interprètera prochainement à l’invitation de l’Orchestre National d’Île-de-France : « Prophecy » (2007) du compositeur estonien Erkki-Sven Tüür (né en 1959), partition foisonnante aux couleurs presque irréelles, dont la grande vitalité rythmique renvoie aux musiques folkloriques d’Europe centrale. Pour compléter ce programme décidément chatoyant et d’une énergie très dansante, le jeune chef estonien Mihhail Gerts dirigera la Suite de Pulcinella de Stravinki et la Septième Symphonie de Beethoven.
