Avec discrétion mais constance, le Viennois Wolfgang Doerner mène avec l’Orchestre Pasdeloup un très efficace travail de fond, qui a redonné un lustre certain à la vénérable association symphonique (fondée en 1861). Chef et orchestre sont en bonne compagnie pour ce concert avec Paul Badura-Skoda : le pianiste viennois, l’un des pionniers de l’interprétation du répertoire classique sur instruments d’époque, est le soliste du Quatrième Concerto de Beethoven (sur instrument moderne). Par vocation, l’orchestre se consacre avant tout au grand répertoire (ici, Prélude et Mort d’Isolde de Wagner et Roméo et Juliette de Tchaïkovski), mais il présente aujourd’hui, dans le cadre des « Paris de la musique », la création de Klartraum, œuvre d’une jeune Japonaise qui a suivi il y a quelques années le cursus de composition de l’Ircam. Deux semaines plus tard, au Châtelet, l’Orchestre Pasdeloup décidément en verve en ce mois de novembre présente un inventif et jazzy programme autour de la valse intitulé « Mille temps, mille feux ». Ce concert « en trois temps, trois mouvements et à trois » rassemblera le comédien Jacques Gamblin (dans des extraits de son texte de théâtre Le toucher de la hanche), le jazzman Franck Tortiller à la tête de son groupe et enfin l’Orchestre Pasdeloup et sa palette symphonique, toujours sous la direction de Doerner. Un nouveau visage du plus ancien des orchestres français…
