Bruno Mantovani, directeur du Conservatoire, le soulignait récemment : le défi de la professionnalisation des jeunes musiciens passe par la pratique assidue du répertoire le plus large : « Nous sommes en train de mettre l’accent sur la pratique collective, orchestre et musique de chambre. Je suis très attaché à la notion de répertoire. Or, aujourd’hui, nombre de nos étudiants n’ont, à leur sortie du CNSM, jamais joué une symphonie de Brahms ». Dont acte : ce 8 janvier, l’Orchestre du Conservatoire se produit au Théâtre du Châtelet dans la Deuxième Symphonie de Beethoven, rythmiquement éprouvante, sous la direction de Vahan Mardirossian ; l’après-midi, la Cité de la musique accueille l’Orchestre des Lauréats du Conservatoire, sous la direction de Philippe Aïche. Auprès de ces musiciens qui connaissent bien le travail avec l’orchestre (comme soliste pour le premier, comme premier violon solo à l’Orchestre de Paris pour le second), les jeunes instrumentistes formés au CNSM ont l’occasion d’exercer ensemble, et devant public, leur passion de la musique.
