Il s’agit d’un geste de mise en scène ample et intime que présente Arthur Nauzyciel. Un geste sophistiqué, précis, plein, qui déploie une forme de vibration. Menant le texte de Kaj Munk (1898-1944) au-delà du drame rural naturaliste, le nouveau directeur du Centre dramatique national d’Orléans creuse la question de la croyance, du doute, de l’illusion, par le biais d’une représentation stylisée. Cette représentation porte en elle la force d’un univers artistique profondément personnel. Il n’est pas si courant d’assister à une proposition scénique qui — libérée des postures de circonstance — trace le chemin d’un théâtre essentiel et authentique. C’est le cas d’Ordet (La Parole), spectacle qui investit la fable de Kaj Munk à travers ses grondements souterrains et ses envolées métaphysiques. Deux communautés religieuses aux convictions opposées, la pureté d’un amour, le drame d’une disparition, l’énigme d’une résurrection… Arthur Nauzyciel foule la terre blanche et froide du village dans lequel se déroule Ordet en s’appuyant sur la notion d’inconscient, en cherchant la frontière entre visible et invisible, en favorisant l’émergence d’empreintes à la fois sensibles et abstraites.
A quelques millimètres du texte
Ordet (La Parole) va plus loin que l’idée de performance. Ce spectacle peut ainsi facilement s’accommoder de quelques moments de flottements, comme c’était le cas lors de sa création, au Festival d’Avignon. Car tous les éléments de la représentation participent à une même impulsion, une même partition théâtrale, qui s’impose dans son entièreté. Chants, chorégraphies, costumes (du styliste José Levy), composition architecturale de l’espace, décalage et fixité des comédiens (Pierre Baux, Xavier Gallais, Benoît Giros, Pascal Greggory, Catherine Vuillez…) : cette partition — puissante, intrigante, mystérieuse — renvoie chaque spectateur à son imaginaire, à ses propres réflexions sur la foi, l’espérance, les aspirations et les empêchements de la condition humaine. Qu’est-ce qui relie l’homme au monde ? Qu’est-ce qui le pousse à se projeter dans l’existence ? En créant un effet de distorsion entre les aspects réalistes du texte et la dimension esthétisante, symboliste, de sa représentation, Arthur Nauzyciel nous place comme à distance de la pièce de Kaj Munk. Une distance de quelques millimètres qui ouvre le champ à un espace théâtral peuplé de résonances, de questionnements sur la vie et la mort, sur le réel et les apparences.
