Théâtre Benoît XII / mes et chorégraphie Jana Svobodova et Wen Hui
Elles viennent toutes deux de pays au passé ou au présent totalitaires. Wen Hui est chinoise. Jana Svobodova est tchèque. Elles ont choisi de bâtir un spectacle à partir de récits d’épisodes où se faisait particulièrement sentir le carcan que le régime politique imposait à leurs vies. Tandis que Vladimir à Prague était empêché de danser le rock’n’roll, et régulièrement emprisonné pour cela, Wen naissait en pleine famine produite par la politique du désastreux « Bond en Avant » maoïste. C’est par des échanges sur leur vécu, des résonances et des contradictions qui s’esquissent, que les sept artistes de l’Archa Théâtre de Prague et du Living Dance Studio de Pékin ont construit ce spectacle transnational qui tisse autant de liens entre l’Asie et l’Occident qu’entre le passé et le présent.
L’humanité soumise à la violence des systèmes politiques
Avec une musique jouée en direct par les danseurs/musiciens, une mise en scène très visuelle où les corps s’inscrivent dans des univers travaillés par les projections vidéo, Ordinary People développe une esthétique à la croisée du théâtre documentaire et de la danse et recompose une géographie de l’humanité soumise à la violence des systèmes politiques. Car ces gens ordinaires, hélas, n’ont rien d’exceptionnel.
