Après avoir été présenté avec succès aux Festivals de Beaune et de La Chaise-Dieu, la production d’Orphée et Eurydice de Gluck débarque au Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. L’événement est attendu pour plusieurs raisons. Tout d’abord, c’est l’une des rares fois où l’on peut entendre cet opéra dans sa version française originale, avec les instruments et le diapason (403 hz) de l’époque. Mais surtout, le public se réjouit de retrouver le jeune chef Jérémie Rhorer, dont le sens théâtral est plus que jamais communicatif. A la tête de son Cercle de l’Harmonie, il dirigera trois chanteurs de styles contrastés : le très lyrique Orphée de Stefano Ferrari, l’Eurydice tragique de Mireille Delunsch et l’Amour éthéré de Julia Novikova.
