DAKAR / FESTIVAL DES CULTURES D'ISLAM
Photo, cinéma, danse, contes, déambulations… : diverses représentations et formes artistiques traversent la création moderne, entre legs traditionnel et regards du présent. La musique tient bonne place dans cette programmation plurielle. Didier Awadi et Matador, deux figures majeures du rap sénégalais, ouvrent le bal avec une création commune (vendredi 13 à 20h), et le sage nomade Nuru Kane présente son dernier album, “Exile” (World Music Next), vrai blues mâtiné de toutes les influences voyageuses de l’auteur compositeur interprète (samedi 21 à 20h). A noter, une nuit dédiée aux Baye Fall, communauté musulmane soufie dont le Zikr, leur chant religieux, omniprésent dans les rites et le quotidien, emprunte largement à la culture Wolof (le 18 à 20h). Pour prolonger la découverte, le photographe dakarois Fabrice Monteiro propose une galerie de portraits qui rendent compte du mode de vie de la communauté Baye Fall. Le chorégraphe Andréya Ouamba propose quant à lui d’interroger par la danse et la vidéo les mutations de la ville contemporaine. Et la transmission orale si chère à l’Afrique prend ici la voix du conteur Boubacar Ndiaye, qui évoque les mythes et l’imaginaire dakarois. Un éclectisme foisonnant et inédit qui invite au partage.
