L’américaine Anna Halprin fut un des artisans de la danse moderne par son travail avec Doris Humphrey dans les années 50. Mais en quittant l’esprit des pionniers pour s’installer à New York, elle embrasse une tout autre idée de la danse. Parades & changes (1965) en est le reflet : elle met en scène des mouvements quotidiens comme s’habiller et se déshabiller et dévoile le corps dans sa nudité, ce qui fera par ailleurs interdire la pièce. Située dans le champ de l’improvisation et de la performance plutôt que dans celui du spectaculaire, la pièce fit date. Anne Collod, qui fut auparavant cofondatrice du Quatuor Knust pour la recréation d’œuvres du XXème siècle, se lance, en dialogue avec Anna Halprin, dans la reconstruction de cette pièce. Comment peuvent résonner aujourd’hui les questionnements soulevés par la pièce à l’époque ? Ce processus de remise à jour travaille sur les codes, les processus et les partitions qui fondaient l’œuvre, et sur la possibilité d’une interprétation à l’aune d’une autre humanité, celle du XXIème siècle.
