Les Parisiens amateurs de musique contemporaine peuvent se sentir comblés. Un mois à peine après le premier volet du festival Présences (qui sera de retour en mars après un détour par Dijon et Metz), les Paris de la musique lui succèdent. Les lieux, d’ailleurs, sont en partie les mêmes puisque trois des six concerts se déroulent à la Maison de Radio France. Pour autant, les Paris de la musique, manifestation phare de l’association Musique nouvelle en liberté, restent fidèles à leur vocation symphonique, affirmée dès 1994, et à la volonté de ne pas isoler la création contemporaine du reste de l’histoire de la musique. Formes classiques et compositeurs français sont ici privilégiés : concertos (de Guillaume Connesson pour violoncelle ; de Thierry Escaich pour orgue) ou mélodies (Le Bestiaire de Régis Campo sur les poèmes d’Apollinaire avec Felicity Lott) prennent place aux côtés de chefs-d’œuvre symphoniques de Ravel, Fauré ou Stravinsky. S’il faut guetter plus d’aventure, ce serait du côté des Bouffes du Nord, qui accueillent l’accordéoniste Teodoro Anzelotti, l’altiste Christophe Desjardins et le percussionniste Daniel Ciampolini autour d’un programme reliant Bach (Wilhelm Friedemann, le fils aîné) à Britten et quelques Italiens d’aujourd’hui (Luciano Berio, Marco Stroppa, Stefano Gervasoni). Ou bien pourrait-on suivre le parcours de Jérémie Rhorer, dirigeant l’Orchestre de l’Opéra de Rouen le 8 novembre et assistant, quatre jours plus tard, à la création parisienne de son Cimetière des enfants par Alain Altinoglu.
