« Il passe du petit garçon à la vieille rombière, du marin à la strip-teaseuse, du vieux général au lutin. Et ce en l’espace d’un claquement de doigts. », dit Jérôme Savary de Michel Dussarat, extraordinaire comédien à la virtuosité transformiste hallucinante. L’inventif homme de théâtre qu’est Savary a imaginé pour l’acteur en perpétuelle mutation et pour son complice Frédéric Longbois une revue déjantée et exubérante. René(e), meneuse aux portes de la retraite, n’a plus la côte au « Paris Frou-Frou », cabaret minable situé à quelques pas du Moulin Rouge. Monsieur Roger, le patron de ce bouge improbable, est bien décidé à virer René(e) et ses éternels numéros de marins et filles à marins, mais c’est sans compter sur le ressort créatif de ce phénix bien-nommé de la scène, qui renait toujours le même et toujours un autre de personnage en personnage, et de son complice, le pianiste italien du cabaret : René(e) et Monsieur Mozzarella vont inventer une « dernière séance » visant à sauver leur peau, leur art et le Paris Frou-Frou où les affaires vont mal… Savary s’amuse et rend hommage à tout ce qu’il aime du music-hall en cette pièce pour un acteur et mille visages !
