AUDITORIUM DU LOUVRE / MUSIQUE CONTEMPORAINE
En écho à la grande exposition consacrée à Pierre Soulages qui se déroule depuis le 11 décembre (jusqu’au 9 mars) dans le prestigieux Salon Carré du Louvre, la saison musicale du Musée propose un concert monographique dédié à Pascal Dusapin. Une « rencontre » logique quand on sait la grande admiration réciproque que se vouent le peintre et le compositeur… Lors de ce concert intimiste réunissant des pièces pour piano (Études n°3 et 5), pour violoncelle seul (Invece ; Imago) et pour violoncelle et piano (Slackline), on assistera aussi à la création mondiale d’une œuvre nouvelle en réponse à une proposition faite par Soulages à Dusapin : Black letters. Cette pièce de 10 minutes environ rejoindra le corpus des Études pour piano du compositeur témoignant de son besoin constant de revenir à l’écriture pour clavier, souvent en répliques à ses partitions beaucoup plus vastes, comme récemment Macbeth Underwold, son huitième opéra créé en septembre dernier au Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie de Bruxelles. Avec le violoncelliste finlandais Anssi Karttunen et le pianiste anglais Nicolas Hodges, deux interprètes principalement engagés dans la défense de la musique des compositeurs vivants, dont celle de Dusapin qu’ils jouent dans le monde entier.
