Après avoir présenté l’intégrale des « solos pour orchestre », la Cité de la musique poursuit son exploration raisonnée de la musique de Pascal Dusapin. L’Ensemble intercontemporain apporte sa contribution, d’abord en musique de chambre avec notamment Indeed pour trombone où Pascal Dusapin, un peu à la manière de Luciano Berio, envisage les potentialités sonores et expressives d’un instrument unique. Dirigé le 7 avril par Alain Altinoglu, l’Ensemble propose une nouvelle lecture de l’opéra To Be Sung, écrit d’après Gertrude Stein et avec, à l’origine, une mise en lumière de James Turrell. Ludovic Lagarde signe ici une mise en espace dans des costumes de Christian Lacroix et des lumières de Sébastien Michaud. Passion, dernier opéra en date de Pascal Dusapin, sera le 11 avril l’ultime découverte de ce parcours en compagnie du compositeur. Comme à Aix l’an dernier, la mise en scène est confiée à Giuseppe Frigeni, la direction musicale à Franck Ollu et les rôles principaux (Elle et Lui) aux magnifiques Barbara Hannigan et Georg Nigl.
