Sous un titre en forme de clin d’œil à Blake Edwards, un répertoire envisagé comme une série de séquences cinématographiques, de tableaux inspirés par une soirée de fête. Echange de regards, exaltation des sens, plaisir de la danse, rapports de séduction, confrontation à l’autre, jeux de désir… Aidé par le contrebassiste Clemens van der Feen et le batteur Dré Pallemaerts, le pianiste retranscrit les mouvements psychologiques et les troubles des egos pris dans l’entrelacs social de la fête, entre fantasme et réalité. Puisant tour à tour son inspiration dans le blues, la musique indienne, l’école répétitive américaine ou encore l’œuvre de Ravel, il construit un univers mélodique enchanteur, avec élégance et brio, en parfaite complicité avec des partenaires coloristes attentifs à apporter leur touche à chaque volet de son parcours, pour un résultat qui concile euphorie pétillante et nostalgie un brin désabusée des lendemains de fête.
