Heureux jazzfan francilien qui trouve le bonheur à sa porte, dès le mois de juin, avant de partir sillonner les routes festivalières de l’été dans toute la France ! Pour sa sixième édition, le festival de Pavillons-sous-Bois propose trois soirées avec, en ouverture, la rencontre d’une phalange classique (Orchestre Sinfonietta) et d’un groupe de jazz (Jazz Gang) réunis sous la conduite de Jean Rotman pour un hommage ambitieux et original à Georges Gershwin, de ses œuvres d’envergure (Rhapsody in Blue, Concerto en Fa) à ses standards éternels (The Man I Love, Fascinating Rhythm, etc…). Le lendemain place au swing manouche porté à l’un de ses sommets d’expression par le guitariste et violoniste Dorado Schmitt. Il réunit auprès de lui sa « famille » musicale au cœur de laquelle on pourra remarquer l’accordéoniste Marcel Loeffler. Enfin, le troisième et dernier concert du festival propose le post-bop écorché et pudique du trompettiste Éric Le Lann à la tête d’un quintette très relevé composé de Laurent de Wilde (piano), Rick Margitza (saxophone), Sylvain Romano (contrebasse) et Tony Rabeson (batterie). Chacun des trois concerts propose une première partie, dont par exemple la chanteuse Gilda Solve le 25.
