Scène Watteau / d’après Charles Perrault / mes Jean-Michel Rabeux
Après avoir réinterprété La Barbe Bleue de Charles Perrault dans une version très réussie qui exaltait le pouvoir de l’amour, Jean-Michel Rabeux a réécrit Peau d’âne, extrait lui aussi du célèbre recueil Les Contes de ma mère l’Oye (1697). Le théâtre joue à pleine puissance, « avec de la musique pour danser, avec les voix déformées par les travestissements, amplifiées par le Pouvoir, gonflées pour braire, magnifiées pour chanter ». Les décors colorés se montent et se démontent en un clin d’oeil, tout l’artisanat du théâtre est à l’oeuvre. Effrayant, mystérieux et drôle, le conte frotte le rire et l’horreur. En guise d’entrée en matière, une Reine mourante fait promettre au roi de ne prendre pour nouvelle épouse qu’une femme plus belle qu’elle. Ce sera… sa propre fille, qui fuit, vêtue de la dépouille de l’âne pondeur d’or. « Je jubile de ce magnifique parcours initiatique qu’est l’échappée d’une jeune fille hors des griffes du père, vers le monde. Comme toute enfance, celle-ci doit s’achever en s’opposant aux désirs insensés, aux amours impitoyables. » confie le metteur en scène. Un spectacle tout public dès 6 ans.
