REPRISE / OPÉRA BASTILLE
En 1997, la mise en scène de Pelléas et Mélisande par Robert Wilson paraissait intemporelle. Près de dix-huit ans ont passé et sa magie persiste reprise après reprise. Le metteur en scène a su capter à merveille l’atmosphère de l’opéra de Debussy. Comme souvent avec lui, c’est une affaire d’éclairage – chaque tableau vibre de sa propre lumière – et de temps : le jeu d’acteurs, d’une minutie toute chorégraphique, épouse les longues lignes de l’écriture debussyste. Philippe Jordan, qui dirigeait l’œuvre pour la première fois en 2012, est de nouveau dans la fosse et retrouve sur scène une bonne part de la distribution d’alors : Stéphane Degout est Pelléas et Elena Tsallagova, Mélisande ; Paul Gay, quant à lui, sera Golaud.
