Pas de surprise, c’est bien un bal, de ceux qui nous entraînent jusqu’au bout de la nuit… A ceci près que c’est la chorégraphe Marinette Dozeville qui est aux commandes – à la fois de la playlist et de la chorégraphie. Le principe n’est plus à réexpliquer, issu du « Bal moderne » qui faisait les belles heures du Théâtre national de Chaillot dans les années 1990, où l’on apprenait, au contact d’artistes, des chorégraphies « prêtes à danser » par tout un chacun. L’objectif de Marinette Dozeville est clairement d’emmener le public dans la danse en faisant fi des empêchements et des inhibitions. Pour cela, la musique disco lui a semblé la plus appropriée, avec son arsenal de tubes prompts à faire se trémousser les plus timides. Et pourtant… au détour de gestes, de phases d’apprentissages proposées en amont du bal, il est bien possible que l’on accède à quelques fondamentaux de la danse contemporaine. Vous reprendrez bien un peu de conscience corporelle, d’appréhension de l’espace, d’écoute de l’autre ?
