Dans Pesadilla – « cauchemar », en espagnol –, le chorégraphe, danseur et acrobate Piergiorgio Milano se pose des questions proches de celles de René Descartes. Par exemple, « nous avons tous rêvé les yeux ouverts, sommes-nous certains de ne pas vivre avec les yeux fermés ? ». Ou « quelqu’un qui ne peut pas dormir peut-il rester éveillé ? ». Les réponses qu’il développe sur scène, par contre, sont toutes autres. Moins métaphysiques que physiques, elles prennent la forme d’une « danse acrobatique somnambule » où l’étrange côtoie le burlesque. Perdu quelque part entre le monde des songes et le réel, le protagoniste qu’incarne l’artiste italien installé à Bruxelles va tantôt de roulades en glissades, tantôt d’équilibres en simples pauses. Par ces ruptures, il touche au burlesque qui, selon lui, appartient au domaine du sommeil, lors duquel les limites habituelles du corps sont abolies.
