A l’heure où les chorégraphes prennent le micro et mettent en avant leurs expériences et leurs histoires personnelles pour mieux démêler les problématiques d’aujourd’hui, Kader Attou a préféré se positionner pour cette création du côté de la magie et du rêve. Certes, on côtoie les fantômes du passé, on fait connaissance avec son père, avec ses peurs et ses espoirs d’enfant… Mais tout ceci fonctionne dans une mécanique du spectacle où rien n’est laissé au hasard : musique, scénographie, chorégraphie s’entrelacent, le tout porté par des interprètes d’exception. C’est alors le règne de l’imagerie et de l’illusion qui subsiste et qui peut-être bride le spectacle : peu d’empathie, et beaucoup de distance pour le spectateur vis-à-vis de cette histoire bien ficelée. Pourtant, la magie opère, car le spectaculaire et la poésie fonctionnent à plein régime.
