Certains soirs parfois vous surprennent au détour du théâtre. Quelque chose qui sonne autrement, s’échappe du cadre tiré à quatre épingles ou de l’habile artisanat. Bref, qui détonne, étrangement. Sans jouer sur l’esbroufe sensationnelle ni l’épate chic tendance évidemment. Plutôt en douce. Peut-être se faufile ainsi, dans l’entre-deux d’une rêverie et d’un accès de fièvre, glisse sur un soupir, une turbulence. De quoi s’agit-il ? De six femmes d’abord, venues du Congo (Stella Loko et Big Sandra), de France (Marie-Paule Laval), du Japon (Yoko Higashi) et du Mozambique (Eronia Malate et Assucena Manjate). Six personnalités qui se croisent au carrefour de leur quotidien, qui laissent bruire leurs incertitudes, leurs angoisses et leurs hontes, qui s’interrogent sur la maternité ou la sexualité, sur leur identité, sur la démocratie… sur leurs ombres et leur destin. Les paroles fusent en chuchotements rieurs, caressent le grave et l’humour, mélangent sonorités portugaises, françaises, japonaises et ngala. Brusquement les mots claquent et fuguent dans une stridence rock. Comme une soudaine déchirure. Un effroi.
« Pourquoi voulez-vous tant être heureux ? »
Arrachées de-ci de-là au vif du souvenir et aux plis de la pensée, les anecdotes se télescopent, se répondent, enlacent un instant les Amants de Baudelaire, soufflent quelques effluves philosophiques et finissent par dessiner le portrait de ces femmes aux prises avec l’ordinaire chaos de la vie. Les saynètes décousent savamment le fil du récit pour mieux tisser l’incessante effusion des mots qui brouillent les échanges et saturent la communication. « Je suis un metteur en scène d’occasion (s) : plus vraiment une première main, j’ai besoin de chocs imprévisibles pour me mettre au travail. » dit Jean-Paul Delore. L’auteur et metteur en scène baroude depuis quelques années entre la France et l’Afrique, pour mener ses Carnets Nord/Sud, « résidence itinérante » à la frontière entre musique, théâtre et arts plastiques. Créateur atypique, il déroute les logiques narratives et façonne un univers tout en perturbations, ruptures et collisions. La scénographie, maniant l’art de la récup’ avec sobriété, les costumes, taillés dans des toiles cirées colorées, les lignes électro, le chant et les airs de jazz déchiré, les incursions du comédien musicien Bebson Elemba ainsi que la forte présence des actrices donnent à cet opéra cosmopolite le charme insaisissable, prégnant, d’une virée poétique.
