S’il existait un classement des musiciens classiques préférés des Français, à l’instar du célèbre classement des personnalités du « Journal du Dimanche », il y a fort à parier que l’une des premières places, si ce n’est la première, serait détenue par Philippe Jaroussky. Ses disques se vendent comme des petits pains (un exploit à l’heure actuelle !), et ses concerts affichent très vite complets… A l’heure où nous bouclons ces lignes, seules des places en dernière catégorie sont ainsi disponibles pour son prochain récital au Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. Le contre-ténor a choisi pour l’occasion un programme entièrement consacré à Haendel, qui a toujours mis ce type de voix à l’honneur dans ses opéras, que ce soit pour des airs cantabile ou des scènes de virtuosité extrême. Le timbre lumineux de Jaroussky, allié à une technique éblouissante, devrait faire des étincelles dans ce répertoire, d’autant qu’il est accompagné par l’Orchestre baroque de Freiburg, un luxe suprême !
