Dans Pièce en plastique, Marius von Mayenburg (dramaturge allemand né en 1972) présente une famille bourgeoise bien-pensante qui fait face aux tracas d’une existence sous pression. Le père est médecin, la mère travaille pour un plasticien célèbre. Quant au fils, il est soumis aux poussées d’une puberté précoce et débordante. Souhaitant alléger leur quotidien et échapper au burn-out, Michael et Ulrike engagent une aide ménagère. Mais cette dernière, loin de résoudre les problèmes des parents débordés, va révéler leurs névroses et leurs contradictions. Sous la direction d’Adrien Popineau, Aida Asgharzadeh, Charles Morillon, Julien Muller, Cassandre Vittu de Kerraoul et Auguste Yvon s’attachent à questionner « avec vigueur, force, émotion et étrangeté » les relations humaines mises en jeu par leurs personnages. Vidéos, théâtre dans le théâtre, univers tendant à l’onirique et au fantastique… Pièce en plastique fait apparaître l’envers de nos idéaux humanistes et nous place face à un monde au bord de l’implosion.
