Un « texte qui révèle les contradictions d’un monde à la dérive », d’un monde « qui a perdu ses repères et ses utopies ». Voici comment le metteur en scène Patrice Bigel présente Pièce en plastique, œuvre du dramaturge allemand Marius von Mayenburg qui nous plonge dans le quotidien d’une famille (en apparence) bien sous tous rapports. Lui est médecin, elle travaille auprès d’un plasticien célèbre. Seule ombre au tableau de cette famille extérieurement idéale : leur fils, un adolescent « un peu perturbé ». L’arrivée chez eux d’une aide ménagère va opérer comme un révélateur des frustrations, des malaises existentiels et des rêves brisés… « La pièce dépeint des personnages qui me rappellent ceux du théâtre de l’autrichien Thomas Bernhard, fait remarquer le directeur artistique de la Compagnie La Rumeur. Un théâtre où la monstruosité est poussée tellement loin qu’elle en devient risible ».
