VINCENNES / CLARINETTE ET PIANO
Ce jeune trentenaire marseillais compte parmi les éminentes personnalités de la scène internationale de la clarinette, et l’un des plus dignes représentants de l’École des vents française mondialement reconnue : Pierre Genisson fut distingué lors des concours Carl Nielsen et Jacques Lancelot de Tokyo. Après deux premiers opus sur le label Aparté (un programme de musique française en 2014 puis les quintettes de Mozart-Weber en 2017), il signait il y a un an un hommage remarqué au clarinettiste Benny Goodman. Figure historique de l’histoire du jazz, Benny Goodman sut aussi nouer des collaborations avec des compositeurs classiques. Trois œuvres, au programme de son album, toutes composées pour lui par des géants du XXème siècle, témoignent de sa modernité et de son aura : le Concerto pour clarinette d’Aaron Copland, Prélude Fugue and Riffs de Leonard Bernstein et l’Ebony Concerto d’Igor Stravinsky. Lors de ce concert en formule clarinette-piano, en compagnie de l’expert Bruno Fontaine, il interprètera la Sonate pour clarinette et piano de Poulenc et la Sonate pour clarinette et piano de Bernstein. Quelques grands standards immortalisés par the « King of Swing » sont aussi au programme : Sweet Lorraine, Sing sing sing, Stomping at the Savoy, Chicago, Sweet Georgia Brown… Un régal.
