Sous le titre « Les Liturgies de l’homme », la Cité de la musique rend hommage à l’un des pionniers de la musique électroacoustique, Pierre Henry, qui a fêté – avec une création nouvelle – ses quatre-vingts ans en décembre dernier. Le premier des deux concerts est consacré à l’une de ses œuvres les plus célèbres, la Messe de Liverpool (1967), ainsi que Ceremony (1969), autre œuvre liturgique qui mélange les sonorités électroniques et le rock des Spooky Tooth. Autre rituel, celui que Pierre Henry dédie à Antonin Artaud en 1970 (Fragments pour Artaud, rituel cosmique). Le second concert poursuit le portrait du musicien en faisant alterner œuvres emblématiques (La Noire à soixante, Granulométrie) et compositions récentes, hommages à peine déguisés aux claviers pas forcément bien tempérés : Toccata et Pleins jeux, donné en création.
