Pour sa huitième édition, Place au Jazz continue de jouer la carte de l’ouverture maximum aux sensibilités du jazz et de la joyeuse alternance de musiciens amateurs, de découvertes, de valeurs sûres et de stars. Dans la catégorie « tête d’affiche », après Ahmad Jamal en 2011, c’est le grand vocaliste et crooner américain Kurt Elling qui sera à l’honneur cette année pour présenter, dans le cadre événementiel d’un concert unique en France, la musique de son nouvel album 1619 Broadway – The Brill building Project, entouré de son groupe régulier composé de Laurence Hobgood au piano, John Mc Lean à la guitare, Clark Sommers à la basse, et Bryan Carter à la batterie (le 18 à 16h). Egalement au programme : le Big Band amateur Antony Jazz dirigé par Andrea Michelutti (le 16 à 20h30), le trompettiste Laurent Mignard et son Pocket Quartet avec Khalid-K en invité (le 17 à 20h30), le trio du saxophoniste Claudio Pallaro (le 23 à 20h30), le oudiste Dhafer Youssef en quartet, grande figure jazz-world de la scène musicale tunisienne (le 24 à 20h30) et enfin, le prodige russe de la scène new yorkaise, Dmitry Baevsky, phénoménal saxophoniste alto en quartet, entouré d’un trio rythmique issu du conservatoire d’Antony (le 25 à 16h).
