La France contre les robots / de Georges Bernanos / adaptation Jean-Baptiste Sastre et Gilles Bernanos / conception Hiam Abbass et Jean-Baptiste Sastre
Accompagnée d’un chœur de femmes et d’hommes issus d’associations du territoire, Hiam Abbass rend hommage à l’œuvre et à la personnalité profondément singulières de Simone Weil (1909-1943). Sous la direction du metteur en scène Jean-Baptiste Sastre, la comédienne palestinienne révèle ainsi, à travers l’adaptation de plusieurs textes (dont Correspondance et L’Enracinement), les « apports à la philosophie, à la critique politique et à la spiritualité » de cette grande figure de la pensée française du XXème siècle. A noter aussi dans vos agendas une autre pièce stimulante, adaptation par Jean-Baptiste Sastre et Gilles Bernanos de l’essai de Georges Bernanos La France contre les robots (1947), où il déplore les effets d’une société structurée par le tout technologique. Il ne s’agit pas ici de fustiger le progrès, mais plutôt d’exercer sa pensée critique, de réfléchir aux conditions de la liberté. Comme le souligne l’auteur, et comme le confirme l’époque, être « informé de tout » revient parfois à être « condamné à ne rien comprendre ». Surtout lorsqu’il y aura « toujours plus à gagner à satisfaire les vices de l’homme que ses besoins ».
