C’est à coup sûr l’un des opéras les plus comiques du répertoire. Sous-titré « Ballet bouffon » et créé à Versailles en 1745, Platée nous plonge au cœur du royaume des grenouilles, avec dans le rôle-titre la nymphe des marais. Les imitations des coassements dans les parties chorales sont irrésistibles ! La Cité de la musique propose l’ouvrage en version de concert, dirigé par Christophe Rousset, spécialiste incontesté de la rhétorique baroque française. La distribution est plus que prometteuse, avec Emiliano Gonzales Toro en Platée, Cyril Auvity, François Lis ou encore Salomé Haller. Mais surtout, le roi, chez Rameau, c’est l’orchestre, ici représenté par les instruments anciens des Talens lyriques.
