C’est avec Ecce (h)omo que Paul/a Pi s’est fait connaître en France, cultivant dès cet opus ses questionnements autour de l’identité, du trouble, du double, confirmés ensuite avec Alexandre. Diplômé en musique à l’université de Campinas au Brésil, l’artiste fut musicien pendant 10 ans avant de se former en danse en France. Aujourd’hui, c’est Pol qui se présente à nous, dévoilant encore un autre aspect de sa personnalité et de son histoire. Cette nouvelle création tombe à point nommé pour La Pop, qui cultive son intérêt pour les projets hybrides interrogeant les liens entre l’individu, la société, et leur environnement sonore et musical. Là est une collaboration entre Pol Pi et Gilles Amalvi, écrivain, critique de danse et créateur sonore. Deux espaces-paysages se succèdent, révélés par le corps en pleine performance, exprimant une épaisseur imaginaire singulière, différente à chaque fois.
