« Inspirée d’un fait divers, cette pièce raconte la relation complexe entre une fille, handicapée mentale à 80%, et l’homme dont elle tombe amoureuse et qui en profite. Cet homme est pompier : un héros aux yeux de tous. Comment cet homme en arrive-t-il à profiter d’une personne qui n’a pas toutes ses capacités, à le faire dans sa caserne, et à en faire profiter ses camarades ? Comment prendre tant de risques s’il n’y avait pas, derrière cette histoire terrible, un amour troublé, dénaturé ? A priori, on se dit qu’il est un salaud et qu’elle est une victime, mais ce n’est pas le propos de la pièce. Je veux aller chercher autre chose. En tant qu’homme de théâtre, je ne suis pas juge. Ce qui m’intéresse, au fond, c’est ce qui va m’échapper ! C’est une pièce merveilleusement écrite, qui questionne chacun de nous. Elle est interprétée par deux merveilleux comédiens, William Mesguich et Camille Carraz. »
