C’est en duo qu’ils se sont fait connaître en 2004 (Le Numéro), c’est en duo qu’ils poursuivent l’aventure de leur compagnie, réunis ici autour d’un spectacle qui n’est pas sans comporter une certaine dimension autobiographique… La vie à deux quand on est porteur et voltigeuse, la vie à deux quand on est un couple, tout ça sous la fameuse maxime « pour le meilleur et pour le pire », voici l’angle d’attaque de Kati Pikkarainen et Victor Cathala. Sous le regard de Michel Cerda, ils rejouent leur vie d’artistes, de nomades, avec leur vie quotidienne, leur besoin de construire, leur envie d’intime. Cela parle d’espace, de temps, de fuite, de terre à défricher ou à modeler… Souvent, le cirque joue avec ses propres clichés, un peu bohèmes, d’une vie en mode collectif sous couvert d’aventures humaines. Là, si la poésie est présente, le fond révèle une profonde vérité sur le cirque d’aujourd’hui.
