« Un tendre cadeau, un jongleur de mots, un poète, un philosophe, un enfant, un rire. Un griot qui a mis la langue en liberté, une langue qui parle à tout le monde. Un crieur de vérités. Sol incarne ce dont je n’ai jamais cessé de rêver : un théâtre à la fois populaire et militant, un théâtre libre qui dégonfle les baudruches. », dit Michel Bruzat, qui confie à Marie Thomas la reprise des envolées sidérales, naïves et humoristiques du poète québécois qui passa sa vie à mettre les mots à l’envers pour tâcher de remettre le monde à l’endroit. « Marie vibre comme une ficelle de cerf-volant, elle rallume les étoiles, elle ne ressemble à personne. J’aime sa gaieté et sa mélancolie. Ce vide et ce plein en elle. », dit son metteur en scène qui lui offre, pour les partager entre tous, les mots du truculent médecin de l’esprit et infirmier de la planète, menuisier du verbe et jardinier de l’âme.
