Pour la quinzième année consécutive, le Festival Pablo Casals, dirigé par Michel Lethiec, fait monter « Prades aux Champs-Elysées ». En trois concerts, les solistes habitués du Festival nous font voyager cette année dans le « carré d’or » musical de l’Europe : Saint-Pétersbourg, Varsovie, Prague, Vienne et Paris. L’occasion d’un hommage à Olivier Messiaen -dont on célèbre le centième anniversaire de la naissance- avec une interprétation du « Quatuor pour la fin du temps », le 25 janvier dans le cadre d’un programme où l’on pourra aussi entendre la Sonate n° 1 pour violoncelle et piano, en ré mineur de Debussy et le Trio de Ravel. Ce cycle de concerts nous fait donc sillonner le vieux continent en tout sens, « de Vienne à Saint-Pétersbourg » (le 23) avec Mozart, Chostakovitch et Brahms puis « de Prague à Varsovie » (le 26), avec Chopin, Penderecki (Sextuor pour piano, violon, alto, violoncelle, clarinette et cor) et Dvorak. Avec entre autres les violonistes Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Svetlin Roussev, Gil Sharon, les violoncellistes Arto Noras, Gary Hoffman, François Salque, le flûtiste Patrick Gallois, le corniste Radovan Vlatkovic, les pianistes Philippe Bianconi, Christian Ivaldi et Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden ou encore le Quatuor Talich et l’Ensemble Calliopée.
