Avec Professor, on entre de plain-pied dans la volonté affirmée par la chorégraphe de « traduire physiquement TOUT ce que l’on entend » : le danseur Julien Gallée Ferré ouvre la pièce par un solo vibrant des sonorités de Fausto Romitelli. Est-il d’abord chef d’orchestre pour bouger ses mains comme si la musique venait à lui ? On s’aperçoit rapidement de la concordance de la musique avec les mouvements de son corps, reprenant à son compte chaque accent, chaque phrasé, chaque rythme. Rejoint par Felix Ott et le musicien Tom Pauwels, il quitte même la concrète abstraction de cette relation danse-musique pour la faire résonner dans l’expressivité du visage. Le second volet, Poetry, s’attache à Trash TV Trance, du même compositeur. Là, c’est le rythme qui est déployé dans la danse, comme autant de saccades et de secousses, agissant davantage comme une contrainte et une façon de ne jamais achever le geste.
