Opéra Garnier / Balanchine /Teshigawara / Bausch
Sur ces deux piliers, l’Opéra de Paris a conçu un programme qui enchâsse Grand Miroir, création mondiale de Teshigawara, entre les deux chefs-d’œuvre que sont Agon de George Balanchine et Le Sacre du printemps de Pina Bausch. Contrairement à ces deux dernières œuvres, qui ont pour point commun la musique de Stravinsky, Grand Miroir s’appuie sur le Concerto pour violon du compositeur contemporain Esa-Pekka Salonen. Mais la force de la partition reste le point de départ de ces trois pièces. Dans Agon, Balanchine traite les douze danseurs comme des instruments supplémentaires intervenant dans la création musicale, avec la précision de métronomes électriques. Pour Saburo Teshigawara « la musique est un lien entre la vie et l’univers. Et la danse est quelque chose qui forme une nouvelle vie. ». Faut-il revenir sur le coup de génie du Sacre de Pina Bausch ? Laissons-lui plutôt le mot de la fin : « Ce sont les hommes et les femmes qui m’intéressent. Dans la vie de chaque jour, il y a tant de choses, tant d’informations, apparemment infimes et en réalité fondamentales… »
