« C’est de la musique pure, déclare Lars Norén. C’est une pièce très simple, j’essaie de la rendre aussi nue et immobile que possible. » Pur fait partie d’un ensemble d’œuvres appelé Terminal qui traite des notions de début et de fin, qui tend à explorer le caractère fondamental des choses, l’essence de l’existence. Dans ce texte, deux couples (interprétés par Catherine Sauval et Christian Cloarec, Françoise Gillard et Alexandre Pavloff) sont plongés dans un huis clos à la temporalité incertaine. Un huis clos dont les enjeux énigmatiques laissent de côté toute préoccupation psychologique ou sociale pour éclairer les questions de la vie, de la mort, de la mémoire, du temps… Après sa remarquable mise en scène d’A la mémoire d’Anna Politkovskaïa en octobre dernier*, Lars Norén quitte l’espace de ses « pièces de société » pour rejoindre celui de ses « pièces existentielles ». Il le fait à travers un texte très épuré, un texte singulier, radical, qui dessine en creux comme en pleins les contours d’un monde mêlant projections concrètes et perspectives métaphysiques.
