Installation / Conception Pierre Ardouvin
Colleur et bricoleur de génie, Pierre Ardouvin réunit des objets sociologiquement et historiquement repérables afin de questionner leurs rencontres dans l’apparent hasard de l’installation. Comme celle provoquée, jadis, entre une machine à coudre et un parapluie sur une table de dissection, l’apparition conjointe du lino, du contre-plaqué, d’une voiture, d’un tourne-disque, de cartes postales et d’un canapé fait naître d’étonnantes surprises. Sous l’apparente légèreté d’un humour sautillant, Pierre Ardouvin interroge « la fin des utopies, le libéralisme effréné, les contraintes imposées au corps social, le repli identitaire, la société du spectacle et de contrôle, l’enfermement, l’isolement et la grande désillusion ». Dans Purple rain, le visiteur, armé d’un parapluie, voyage entre cinéma et musique, sous une pluie artificielle et la caresse d’éclairages violets.
