LA SEINE MUSICALE / CLASSIQUE REVISITE
Entouré d’une poignée de musiciens hors-pair et amis, le contrebassiste Stéphane Logerot, pilier du pupitre de contrebasses de l’Orchestre National de France, a créé il y a une dizaine d’années l’ensemble Quai n°5. Leur jeu préféré dans ce programme ? Brouiller les pistes entre musiques savantes et populaires en glissant des compositions classiques souvent célèbres (de Mozart, Schubert, Wagner, etc.) dans de nouveaux habits de fête plus bariolés empruntés au rock, au blues, à la bossa nova ou à la musique yiddish. « Les compositeurs classiques se sont beaucoup servis de musiques populaires. Et nous, on repart du classique pour aller vers le populaire. La boucle est bouclée. » résume le violoniste Jean-Marc Phillips- Varjabédian, membre de la formation et par ailleurs connu pour sa participation au célèbre Trio Wanderer. Avec aussi Romain Descharmes (piano), François Desforges (percussions) et Rémy Poulakis (accordéon et chant). Un voyage musical toutes fenêtres ouvertes, donc décoiffant.
