La pièce québécoise de Michel Garneau propose au spectateur de visiter le grenier intime et chaleureux de sa propre mémoire. C’est une réponse poétique aux questions existentielles que pose le théâtre – la vie, la mort, l’amour. L’épreuve du sentiment amoureux rapproche les femmes comme elle sépare les mères de leurs filles et rend complices grand-mère et petite-fille. La poésie des émotions comme la langue de Garneau fait vibrer la petite musique de l’âme, cette douce voix intérieure qui semble venir d’un paradis perdu de l’enfance. Il s’agit de faire chanter le langage, « un verbe cru aux accents populaires » que les comédiennes se feront un plaisir de porter à la scène. Le public est invité, grâce à la mise en scène inventive de Marjorie Nakache à l’écoute du monde, à goûter « le délire charnu des mots » et « l’immense son joyeux de tous les jargons de la terre ». Avec quatre femmes décidées dont la metteuse en scène elle-même jamais à court d’idées, et Nabiha Akkari, Agnès Debord et Nicole Dogue.
